The Sergeant Patrick McDonald Absolute Warrior Award is given annually to a Law Enforcement Officer from the states of Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey who have displayed bravery above and beyond the call of duty.
The recipient of this award has displayed extraordinary courage without regard for his or her personal safety while protecting the citizens of their community.
The purpose of this award is to preserve the memory of the brave actions of Sgt. Patrick McDonald who made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of the citizens of Philadelphia on September 23, 2008.
